After impressing during trial pre-season sessions earlier this summer, the club are excited to work with Tony ahead of the upcoming 22/23 season, where the 1st XV will be challenging in Surrey Counties 4.
On behalf of the committee & club we welcome him on board and wish Tony every success in his new role.
"I'm very excited to be given the opportunity to come in and work with the boys." says Tony. "Already, the work ethic from has been massive with everyone giving their all on the training paddock and on the pitch. Our aims are to have two competitive sides out on a Saturday, to have depth in positions and competition for places (which in the short time I've been here is already happening) whilst keeping the community club ethos of the club at heart. I'm looking forward to this season and taking the club to the next level".
The club would also like to take the opportunity to thank outgoing coach Jesse Mackewn. Jesse stepped down at the end of last season, after a hugely successful 12 months at the club. Under Jesse's leadership, the club won a league and cup double, securing promotion and winning the Surrey Bowl. Jesse will always be welcome at SCRFC for his efforts.
